Pertanto ho deciso di raccogliere alcune informazioni per tutti quelli che vorrebbe fare questa follia.
Noi ci siamo sposati alla Graceland Chapel (pacchetto da 200 dollari), ma vi assicuro che qui ci sono chapels per tutti i gusti e per tutte le tasche. Noi ci siamo detti: "se lo facciamo, lo facciamo per bene. Il più kitsch possibile e con Elvis."
E così è stato. All'altare mi ha accompagnato Elvis mentre cantava una canzone...
La "chiesetta" minuscola con tende beige e moquette damascata. Terribile ma perfetta.
5 minuti. Tanto ridere. E alla fine tutti a ballare Viva Las Vegas.
We got married at the Graceland Chapel, but I can assure you that you can go crazy about all the chapels to choose from. You can also go with Drive-Thru Wedding if you don't have time at all...
We went for a very kitsch, crazy and total vegas-style one. With an "Elvis" who walked me thru and a last crazy dance with "Viva Las Vegas" song. My kids were dancing with us and we all laugh and enjoy the moment (10 minutes and about 200 $ the package).(Documents for italian citizens) Innanzitutto il matrimonio a Las Vegas è riconosciuto in Italia. Ecco i documenti che servono:
- copia integrale autenticata del Certificato di Matrimonio (Certified Copy of Marriage Certificate che si può richiedere al Clark Count Recorder, si può fare richiesta anche online qui). Ci possono volere più o meno 2 settimane per avere la copia e se non si ha tempo di aspettare si può fare richiesta di invio per posta in Italia (credo ci metta più o meno un mese).
- Apostille del certificato di matrimonio. Per ricevere le apostille bisogna spedire la copia integrale autenticata del certificato di matrimonio insieme a modulo di richiesta e pagamento (potete allegare dati carta di credito) . Le apostille vi verranno spedite a casa. (in questa pagina troverete tutti i dettagli: http://nvsos.gov/index.aspx?page=124)
- certificati di residenza e cittadinanza degli sposi, da richiedere al vostro comune.
- copia integrale autenticata della Licenza di Matrimonio. Dovete assolutamente ricordarvi di richiederla quando richiedete (entro 24h prima) l'originale al Marriage Bureau di Las Vegas aperto fino a mezzanotte. In inglese è:Certified Copy of Marriage License).
- Modulo per la richiesta di trascrizione (potete trovarlo online sul sito del vostro comune).
Ci sono molti negozi che noleggiano vestiti da sposa o di ogni genere e sono proprio tutti lì in centro. Se avete bisogno di qualche consiglio o di qualche contatto non esitate a scrivermi (worldwidemom@gmail.com). Io sono qui e posso mandarvi tutte le informazioni che posso.
Anche se siete già sposati potete pensare di "rinnovare" il vostro matrimonio in modo stravagante qui a Vegas. Infatti esiste anche l'opzione cosidetta: Renewal of vows. Bisogna farne specifica richiesta visto che è illegale "risposarsi".
Un'altra cosa. Il matrimonio qui è automaticamente in comunione dei beni, quindi se volete dovrete fare richiesta della separazione dei beni in Italia.
Costo del certificato: 60$.

24h before the wedding you need to get a Marriage License at the Marriage Bureau in Las Vegas (open till midnight).
All U.S. citizens are required to provide their Social Security number on the Affidavit of Application for a Marriage License. You do not need to present your Social Security card. Those applicants not issued a Social Security number by the United States will enter “none” in the appropriate box. The fee for a marriage license is 60$.
Marriage Ceremonies: In order to have a legal marriage, a ceremony must be performed in the State of Nevada within one year from the date of issuance of the marriage license. The expiration date of the license is listed in the upper left-hand corner. Nevada marriages are legal and recognized all over the world. The ceremony may be performed at any wedding chapel, church, Office of Civil Marriages, or anywhere a licensed minister is willing to perform a ceremony within the State of Nevada.
Rejoinders in marriage:
Per recent legislation, a husband and wife, whose record of marriage has been lost or destroyed or is otherwise unobtainable, may be issued a marriage license and rejoined in marriage. This is reviewed on a case-by-case basis and is not eligible for the Online Marriage License Pre-Application process.
Renewal of Vows:
This office is prohibited from issuing a new Marriage License to couples who are currently married. Couples may renew their wedding vows at a church or a wedding chapel. You will need to contact those establishments to see what information is required.
